How Ama Odia Parivar started, and what it has done since.
How it began
In 2012 a few Odia families living in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, began meeting simply to spend time together — the ordinary comfort of hearing your own language spoken on a Sunday afternoon. There was no plan beyond that. People brought food, the children played, and somebody always ended up singing.
Word travelled through friends and workplaces, and the gatherings outgrew the front rooms they had started in. As more families joined, the conversation began to turn from festivals to the things people actually needed: blood at short notice, school fees, a hospital to be navigated in an unfamiliar city.
Becoming a society
In 2014 we registered formally as Ama Odia Parivar Social & Charitable Society. Registration gave the work the structure it needed: an elected committee, accounts anyone may ask to see, and a name that hospitals, schools and donors could deal with.

To confirm. Dates for the milestones above that do not yet carry one — when the first blood donation camp was held, when the Child Cancer Foundation began, and when education support started. Dates are what turn a list into a history, and they are the part only the Society can supply.
