A child in our community who has the ability to carry on studying should not stop because of a fee that falls due at the wrong moment.
Why this matters
The cost that ends a child’s education is rarely the big one. It is a term’s fees after a parent loses work, a set of textbooks, a uniform, an exam form, the bus fare. Small amounts, at bad times, decided quietly at home without anyone outside ever hearing about it.
What we do
- Scholarships towards school and college fees
- Books, uniforms and exam costs
- Guidance on scholarships and schemes families are already entitled to but do not know about
- Coaching and mentoring from members who have been through the same system
To confirm. Add what the Society actually funds, how a family applies, and how many children have been supported. If unit costs are known — what a term of books actually costs — say so; a concrete figure raises more than an appeal.
