When somebody needs blood, they usually need it today. Not next week — today. Our members give blood at camps across Mumbai and Thane, and we keep a register of willing donors so a family facing an emergency does not have to start ringing strangers.
Why a register matters
Blood banks run short, and the shortages fall hardest on rarer groups. A family in a hospital at midnight has hours, not days, and no idea who to ask. A list of people in the same city who have already said yes turns a frantic search into two phone calls.
What we do
- Organise donation camps across Mumbai and Thane
- Keep a register of members willing to donate, with their blood group and locality
- Connect a family in need with donors nearby
- Remind donors when they are eligible to give again
Give blood
You can give blood if you are between 18 and 65, weigh over 50 kg, and are in good health. Most people can give every three months.
We are building the donor register now. Until it is online, please write to us and we will add you.
To confirm. The donor register is not built yet. It will collect blood group and last donation date, which is health data under the DPDP Act and needs its own explicit consent, separate from membership. Confirm you want it before it is built, and it should launch together with the privacy notice that describes it.
